Comprendre pour mieux agir Notre action se concentre sur la promotion des droits humains et de la justice, en tant que facteurs d’une paix et d’un développement durables. La prévention et la gestion des situations de conflit et d’après conflit se trouvent au cœur de notre travail.

Steps

Our analysis finds its origins in the social realities experienced every day by populations in the countries of the North and the South. It is based on a study of conflicts and international issues, carried out in close collaboration with local actors. Our advocacy actions are addressed to political and economic decision-makers. They are developed in collaboration with a vast pluralist network of civil society associations. Our awareness activities aim to raise awareness among citizens and encourage them to become actors of peace and justice.

Quality Certification: Committed to Excellence (C2E)

The EFQM model provides quality standards to evaluate the management of an organization. It is the most widely used reference for organizations in Europe. The model provides a clear picture on the relationships between an organization's actions and results. Justice and Peace constantly strives to achieve better quality and works with the best of the four quality labels: Committed to Excellence (C2E). Justice and Peace was awarded the C2E certificate for the quality of its operation thanks to: – the adoption of its ethical and ecological charter – its human resources management policy – its volunteer management policy C2E-NGO is a program specifically developed by the Belgian NGO federations for their members. The validation process is strictly the same as for the official EFQM-C2E validation. C2E-NGO validators are in fact trained by EFQM assessors and validators. More info on www.acodev.be.

Charter for ethical and ecological behavior

Our organization advocates social and climate justice, the defense of human rights and the protection of the environment. On a daily basis, we are committed to taking action in line with the values and vision we advocate. We thus insist on a necessary internal and external consistency in our behavior. The latter are therefore part of an ethical and ecological approach within the framework of our professional activities. Ethical purchasing and consumption: The administrative center opts as a priority for ethical and ecological choices in the organization's purchases and consumption, while ensuring budgetary and financial balance. Ecological and reasoned travel: Employees are wondering about their choice of travel mode. They work to make them emit as little fossil energy as possible in the context of their professional activities. Thus, they favor, as much as possible, public and soft transport, as well as intermodality. Air travel as well as any other motorized travel to and abroad are subject to particular attention by the administrative center. Thus, to the extent that the budget balance is ensured, the latter compensates for the greenhouse gas emissions produced during these journeys with specialized external organizations. A commission made up of members of the administrative center as well as any employee who wishes to join meets at least 3 times a year. This commission evaluates the action carried out within the framework of this charter. She offers the team of employees as well as the Office of Justice and Peace innovations in ethical and ecological behavior. Any employee can also propose innovations to the committee. The coordination of the commission is decided internally. The members of the Office of Justice and Peace are the guarantors of this charter and undertake to ensure that it is respected by all employees.
