Conference/debate – Ethical and sustainable alternatives to extractivism in South Kivu

March 19 @ 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m.

What realities are women experiencing in South Kivu? Sister Espérance Bufole Musimwa, one of our partners in DR Congo will explain to us certain realities experienced by twanging women in the artisanal mines of South Kivu.

A conference in partnership with Entraide & Fraternité, as part of the Lent 2024 campaign. Register here.

A conference that aims to explore the paradox between the country's wealth and the persistence of poverty, while emphasizing solidarity during Lent 2024. The Democratic Republic of Congo has abundant natural resources, but remains among the poorest nations, particularly with a precarious situation for women and children.

The conference will examine the connection between the modern world and its growing appetite for natural resources. It will be followed by a debate with the participants.

By joining forces, we aspire to inspire meaningful change towards equitable development and strengthened solidarity.
