The term “sustainable development” first appeared in a United Nations report in 1987 with a question that remains burning today: how can we meet our needs without compromising the future of future generations? To be able to respond to this, the 193 member states of the UN adopted on September 25, 2015 a sustainable development program called “Agenda 2030”. It is a roadmap comprising 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030.
