Lives devastated, in Belgium but also in India, by asbestos and greed.
Le film “Le souffle volé” de Daniel Lambo montre une réalité cruelle et pose une grande question sur notre capacité à réguler la mondialisation.
A coalition of organizations invites you to a film debate to better understand the extent of the problem and together provide effective solutions.
Synopsis
After the death of his father and many others in his village in Flanders, director Daniel Lambo begins a thrilling quest to uncover the truth about the dangerous asbestos industry. His research takes him to the largest open-air asbestos dump in India and reveals a compassionless industry that still endangers the lives of workers and citizens across the planet. Unfortunately, several obstacles today make the search for justice difficult, if not impossible, for those affected. + info ➡️ http://www.breathless.film/
After viewing the film, we therefore suggest that you stay a moment to share your thoughts and questions.
After the film a meeting will take place with:
- Daniel Lambo, director of the film.
- Quentin Noirfalisse, Journalist in Médor and co-producer of the film.
- Agathe Smyth, Advocacy Officer, Justice and Peace and representative of the coalition of NGOs active on the Binding Treaty.
This evening is organized by a coalition of organizations: CNCD-11.11.11, FIAN Belgium, Mutual Aid and Fraternity, Global Solidarity And CADTM Belgium as part of their week of action for a Treaty that will put an end to human rights abuses in collaboration with the Grignoux.
