Mutual Aid & Fraternity (E&F) is a Catholic non-governmental organization (NGO) of international solidarity. Its vision is that of a world where the populations of the North and South of the earth, particularly the poorest and marginalized, live in a just and egalitarian society, and fully enjoy their rights within a united international community. E&F's mission is to promote international solidarity through activities that jointly pursue the following objectives:
Support the action of deprived populations in the South with a view to ensuring greater control over their lives;
Facilitate the expression of solidarity, with respect for people and groups in the North;
Strengthen a movement to develop alternatives and challenge unjust structures.
The Justice and Peace Commission (CJP) concentrates its action on the promotion of human rights and justice, as factors of lasting peace and development. Its analysis finds its origins in the social realities experienced every day by populations. Its activities advocacy and of sensitization aim to encourage citizens to become actors of peace and justice.
Joint project :
The “Save our common home” project draws its inspiration from Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato si’ on saving the Earth, our common home.
The general objective of the project is to contribute to the social and ecological transition in Wallonia and Brussels through the achievement of two sub-objectives. On the one hand, supporting Catholic schools and communities in the implementation of transition initiatives (OS1). This first objective is supported by E&F. On the other hand, raising awareness among our political representatives of the issues of ecological and social transition with a view to more tailored decision-making on this theme at different levels of power (OS2). CJP is in charge of this 2nd objective.
