This was the trigger for the Rwandan genocide.<\/p>\n\n\n<!--more-->\nTo date, this attack remains unpunished, the exact circumstances and responsibilities having still not been clearly established. Judge Brugui\u00e8re&#039;s order is, to our knowledge and to date, the only official investigation into this attack which has had some form of conclusion. It caused a lot of ink to be spilled and caused the breakdown of diplomatic relations between Rwanda and France.
