However, the populations of the east of the country still suffer regular episodes of violence triggered by armed military groups, rebels or the national army.<\/p>\n\n\n<!--more-->\nSeveral associations and specialists from the DRC explain the origins of this crisis and the mechanisms that maintain it to this day. There are also many who have issued relevant recommendations to the various authorities \u2013 Congolese or international, governmental or rebel \u2013 so that a peaceful solution can be found and the people of Kivu can live in peace and security. The Belgian authorities also got involved in these negotiations.
