Would you like to understand more the societal issues hidden behind the debate on Belgium's colonial past?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you like to develop your own analysis<\/strong> in order to actively participate in this debate as a citizen? We offer you one day training<\/strong> during which we will look at the issues of memory work<\/strong> by focusing on the colonial past of Belgium in Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrying out memory work on a conflict, recent or not, is crucial to consider the possibility of a reconciliation,<\/strong> conducive to live together in a society<\/strong>. This approach is also applicable to situations such as the colonial past, which awakens deep-rooted wounds and questions our collective identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given that Memory<\/strong> plays an essential role in conflict prevention, talking about the past and deconstructing stereotypes in dialogue spaces and using reading grids, all while maintaining a critical perspective<\/strong>, sometimes helps prevent injuries from reappearing too suddenly. This then promotes the construction of an inclusive society.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
